Even though 2020 was a year to forget for obvious reasons, it was an absolute pleasure to be involved in the rejuvenation and reactivation of locomotives now owned by RailPower Pty Ltd.
Apart from extensive mechanical and electrical overhaul, exterior rejuvenation and rebranding was undertaken as part of the process.
The first two locomotives completed, were transferred to Victoria and went into service for SCT Logistics, on the Dooen to Melbourne freight services.
For Harlow Graphics it meant a mix of design, signage, upgrade / replacement of cab instrumentation panels, exterior equipment/fitting location signage, illuminated loco number boards and reflective safety sighting strips.
As much as we love everything we do, this job provided the immense satisfaction of working with a very talented and committed team, while at the same time witnessing the rebirth of these locomotives that have effectively been in storage for close on a decade.
